| St. Basil's Syriac Orthodox Church, Cleveland, Ohio is the only Jacobite Church serving Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, Western New York State and Northeast Indiana and Northwest West Virginia. This church is part of the Malankara Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church in North America and is in communion with Oriental Orthodox Churches and enjoys partial communion with Catholic Church. His Eminence Mor Titus Yeldho is the Archbishop & Patriarchal Vicar. The Archdiocese is under the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, Patriarch of Antioch & All The East and the Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church. The Church services are primarily conducted in Malayalam. The liturgy is interspersed with English and Syriac language, a dialect of Aramaic spoken by Lord Jesus. Patriarchal Center
Project: Malankara Archdiocese of the Syriac Orthodox Church in North America is planning to establish a Patriarchal Center. The initial plans call for a Cathedral, Conferencing Center, Facilities for a Theological Seminary and Dayaro. HE Yeldho Mor Theethos, Archbishop and Patriarchal Vicar, has asked Dr. Jacob Mathew, Secretary of Baselios Church to assist on this mission. One of the facilities under consideration currently is located in Orange, NJ, shown below. Please pray for the success of this mission.
Youth and Family Conference-2012: This year's Family Conference is rebranded as Youth and Family Conference to highlight the increasing role played by the Youth in our church. The 27th annual conference is scheduled to be held in Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland from July 26-29, 2012. A full weekend program including bible studies, family counseling, cultural programs, sports programs, devotional messages, etc. are planned culminating in Holy Qurbano on Sunday, July 29. Cancer Hospital in Kothamangalam One of a long time dream of our own Rev. Fr. Dr. Gheevarghese Kunnathu, MD was to establish a full fledged Cancer Hospital in Kerala. One of the obstacles standing on the way was to find a team to coordinate the work in Kerala. His dream will be materialized soon. The foundation stone for the new Oncology Hospital will be laid by HB Baselios Thomas I in the property acquired for the Hospital in Kothamangalam on Saturday, April, 14, 2012. This hospital will be the anchor for a Medical College, God Willing, soon. Gheevarghese achen invites everyone to attend the ceremony on Saturday, April 14. Since there are many people who have no access to a genuine Syriac Orthodox Church, Baselios Church is providing the opportunity for you to register the names of you and/or your loved ones to be remembered and prayed for by the celebrant priest (or Bishop) during our regularly scheduled services (including the church Day - the feast of St. Basil. family is a microcosm of church, it will have everything
that a church focused website will have. But there will
be more. We will cover issues that are important to
families. What are the things that keep our members
awake at night? Is that about their children? taking

spouses? Breakdown of marriage? Health issues? Balancing
