St. Gregorios Cancer Hospital and Institute, Chelad, Kothamangalam
One of a long time dream of our own Rev. Fr. Dr. Gheevarghese Kunnathu, MD was to establish a full fledged Cancer Hospital in Kerala. One of the obstacles standing on the way was to find a team to coordinate the work in Kerala. His dream will be materialized soon. The foundation stone for the new Oncology Hospital was laid by HB Baselios Thomas I in the property acquired for the Hospital in Chelad, near Kothamangalam on Saturday, April, 14, 2012.
A trust to manage the project, Wisdom Health Charitable Trust, was registered. They are in the process of soliciting bids for the construction of the hospital building. The Hospital will be named St. Gregorios Cancer Hospital and Institute.
This hospital will be the anchor for a Medical College, God Willing, soon. We congratulate achen and thank the almighty God for this blessing. More details in Malankara World. A website for the hospital is under construction.
Intercession from Baselios Church, from the Heart of North America
|We are the only church in the heart of North America dedicated in the name of
St. Baselios Bawa.
Since there are many people who have no access to a genuine Syriac Orthodox Church, Baselios Church is providing the opportunity for you to register the names of you and/or your loved ones to be remembered and prayed for by the celebrant priest (or Bishop) during our regularly scheduled services (including the church Day - the feast of St. Basil. Please register electronically. This service is free. But we request that you pray for our church.Register. (Register at least 24 hours before the service.)
|Malankara World's focus
is on our families. We want to help our families. Since
family is a microcosm of church, it will have everything
that a church focused website will have. But there will
be more. We will cover issues that are important to
families. What are the things that keep our members
awake at night? Is that about their children? taking
care of old aged parents? Relationship with their
spouses? Breakdown of marriage? Health issues? Balancing
work, family and spiritual life? Managing stress?
We will use a combination of technology and harnessing the resources of our people within our church to do that. The website has currently over 8,000 articles with more than 80% of them indexed in Google. A weekly Malankara World Journal has published over 90 issues. This has subscribers in all corners of the earth. To learn more, visit Malankara World website
