About Us

St. Basil's Syriac Orthodox Church, Cleveland, Ohio is part of the Malankara Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church in North America. HE Mor Titus Yeldho is the Archbishop & Patriarchal Vicar. The Archdiocese is under the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of His Holiness the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, the Supreme Head of the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church. The Church services are primarily in Malayalam, a vernacular language used by people from Kerala State, India. The liturgy is interspersed with Syriac language, a dialect of Aramaic spoken by Lord Jesus, as the Liturgical language along with English.
